Hajj & Umrah Group Review
Was this a Hajj or Umrah?: Umrah
What year did you go?: Ramadan 2010
Pros (postive comments)(if you comment on the hotel please mention the name): -Receiving staff was prompt and very welcoming especially in Madinah
-transportation was excellent
- hotel in Madinah was great (Movenpick very close to masjid nabwi)
-relatively cheaper than other agencies
Cons (negative comments)(if you comment on the hotel please mention the name): - Hotel in Makkah (Ramada- about 15-20 mins walk from haram, not very convienient especially in the month of Ramadan and definitely not a 4* hotel)

- We booked 2 nights in Madinah and 5 nights in Makkah but the way itinerary was done, we only got one night in Madinah and 4 nights in Makkah!

Hajj & Umrah Group Review
Was this a Hajj or Umrah?: Hajj
What year did you go?: November 2009
Who was the Scholar/Shaikh/Imam of your Group?: Several
Pros (postive comments)(if you comment on the hotel please mention the name): The Transportation.
Cons (negative comments)(if you comment on the hotel please mention the name): My friends, please be careful, when choosing Dar el Salam. My parents went this year November 2009. I bought them the executive package. However, Dar el Salam did a very poor job. First the Imam was no where to be found for first seven days. They misplaced the luggage, and sent my parents to a wrong hotel. Further more, they did not get the "two in a room" accommodation, which I had paid for (~$20,000). The hotels were not the same, which they promised. The Imam, left five days early, while the whole group of 40 Hajis were still in Madina. Imam and the organizational crew hardly spoke English or Urdu, which made communication extremely difficult. My Allah bless all of you, I just believe, there are other CHEAPER GROUPS, which provide better service than Dar el salam.

Hajj & Umrah Group Review
Was this a Hajj or Umrah?: Umrah
What year did you go?: 2009
Who was the Scholar/Shaikh/Imam of your Group?: i dont remember the name
Pros (postive comments)(if you comment on the hotel please mention the name): We were placed in ZAM ZAM tower Hotel in Mecca and the accomodation, services from the hotel were excellent. The breakfast was the bwest meal of the day. It is the closest hotel facing Haram. The staff that was dedicated to us from Dar-EL-Salam wsa very professional courteous and always ready to help out of their way. They are Gems, both in Madina and Mecca. Did not had to wait any where due to Dar-el- salam or there staff. They met us evry where b4 we were even at location. I had also been to Hajj with this group in 2006 december and that was also a very satisfying and amazing experience. Dar-el-salam knows its business and service. May Allah bless them for all the services that are provided by their staff. Speciall I hace dealt with Dalia at their New York office. But still it is the best
Cons (negative comments)(if you comment on the hotel please mention the name): The on wrad flight from Jeddah to Madinah on the day of arrival had a lay over of 7 hrs. This could have beenmanaged better. But still other prose weight lot plus so it is part of package:)

Hajj & Umrah Group Review
Was this a Hajj or Umrah?: Hajj
What year did you go?: 2004
Who was the Scholar/Shaikh/Imam of your Group?: don't know
Pros (postive comments)(if you comment on the hotel please mention the name): Mina accomodations were nice and near jamarat. Hotel accomodations were nice and food was good and actually too much.
Cons (negative comments)(if you comment on the hotel please mention the name): The organizers were frequently unavailable and did not make themselves known to us. It was frequently disorganized, expecially when moving from one place to another, and the organizers were sometimes rude. I had no accomodation in Madina and was added as the 5th to a 4 person room. When we arrived in Mecca I was just dropped there from the bus in ihram and had to find my own way with no help or guidance available. Fortunately I knew what to do, but it would have been really bad for someone without preparation. There was no transportation back to Mecca from Mina after returning from Arafat. On the second day we were suddenly told we were leaving a day earlier than planned. Thus we did not have the 3rd day to stone the jamarat. We arrived in New York one day early and there were no accomodations there. My flight home was scheduled for the next day and I had to find my own hotel room and transportation at my own expense. It was very difficult because most hotels in the area were already booked. The Dar Al Salam people were nowhere to be found and unavailable by phone. I received no response from Dar Al Salam when I wrote to express my dissatisfaction and to request at least a refund for the one day's stay.
